Patreon is good at monetizing the creator economy.
WeWrite is Against “Posts”, Patreon is all about posts. Posts are attention-objects you fling onto a timeline, competing with everyone else. One WeWrite, the point is that all of your writings would be interconnected and lead people down various rabbit holes.
The only “feed” will be the Activity feed of various changes made to pages that you follow. So each thing on the activity feed is actually the growth or pruning of things you’re already interested in, rather than Patreon where each post is a new thing.
Additionally, you pay to subscribe to a Patreon, which is like donating to a User or a Group, but on WeWrite you can pay to a specific Page, so the donations stuff is a little bit more granular
