perhaps you should only be able to have 3 pen names at a time, and you can “retire” one and bring the writings under your main display name to free up a new pen name
the main User account should never be exposed in the UI.
ideally we shouldn’t even keep this data ourselves, we should find some way to hash the connection locally or something, so we can’t be subpoenaed to expose
